My motivation behind this blog is to embrace the challenge of full expression, to freely express my thoughts on identity, belonging, and spirituality. I feel like I’m constantly processing and digesting new information that helps me understand the world and my place in it.

Born and raised in Sweden, I have lived in America half my life and am based in Alachua, Florida with my husband and daughter. Though my daughter is an infant, becoming a parent has changed my life and my approach to it. I’ve spent many years feeling conflicted about many things (read “My Background” for an example). I felt stifled within myself, unable to express my experience of life, unable to vocalize my thoughts without first checking in with the status quo.  But I don’t want that inhibition for my daughter. I want her to feel brave and able to express her mind and share her heart with us and the world. So, of course, I have to set that example. It’s empowering and challenging.

Maybe I’m finally growing up 🙂 Instead of being angry and cynical, I feel so much gratitude for my family and my life.
